Nestled in a deep valley lies the town of Fort Ransom, North Dakota. Deep below the blowing winds across the plains, this town is what passes for an oasis from the brutal winters and intense summer sun. On the edge of this valley where the shadows meet the light is where I found this abandoned farm. Patient in its summer sun, I captured an image of this place in the progress of its "Silent Collapse, " as if it were waiting for its tenants to return.
