This photograph was captured on an old farm in rural North Dakota. I believe these conflicting photographic subjects sum up quite well the opposing forces at work here on this old farm. To me the "Stove & Straw" represent the stuggle in this part of the country between the rough, harsh land & the elements and the smooth results of rest after hard work. The examples are limitless of the age old plot of 'man vs. nature.'
